CORPORATE GOVERNANCE INSTITUTES OF LATIN AMERICA, IGCLA

The Network of Corporate Governance Institutes of Latin America, IGCLA, welcome you to its website.

ABOUT IGCLA AND ITS MEMBERS

The IGCLA Network began its life in 2009 in Santiago, Chile, at the Latin American Corporate Governance Roundtable organized by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).  Development of the Network over the early years was actively supported by the World Bank Group, through its private sector arm, the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

The Network was set up to facilitate cooperation and collaboration between the key promotors of good governance practices in countries across the Latin American region. It has enabled individual members to leverage the knowledge and experience of the whole region, in order to grow and to expand the promotion of good practices by companies within their individual influences.

Now, after more than ten years, the Network has 12 members from 8 countries representing North, Central and South America, actively promoting good governance practices at national and regional level.  Together, the members are delivering region-wide events and activities, and developing documents relevant across the region.  They are sharing codes, practices, studies and surveys between them, many of which are available here at no cost, through the Publications and Events links within this website.

The Network has been made possible only through the efforts of the members and the support from multilaterals committed to good governance such as the OECD, the IFC, which have accompanied us since our foundation, as well as the CAF and the Interamerican Development Bank (BID).
